Overview

The English course in Basic Education is designed to enable students in the program to acquire new knowledge in L2 so that they can apply what they have learned in their future work as English language teachers. It is conceived as a learning experience in which future graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Basic Education at the National Pedagogical University “Francisco Morazán” will have the opportunity to work with first and second cycle students, applying the theoretical and methodological knowledge acquired throughout their academic training.

This experience is carried out within a context that reflects the realities commonly found in our country, allowing students to intervene and participate in solving problems that may arise in the classroom environment. The course is taught over a period of three months and consists of ten units divided into several subtopics. The English course is delivered through innovative methodologies and teaching techniques that promote meaningful learning and the development of communicative competencies in the second language.
